Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do I have to be in good shape before I start?
    No, you will get into shape as you train. We have a series of exercises that you will learn as you progress through the ranking system which will enable you to perform the self defense techniques.
  • I am not young, am I too old to start martial arts?"
    No, you are not too old to begin martial arts training. Our students range from all ages and it's never too late to jump in
  • I am very busy with my work schedule, how much time do I need to devote to classes?"
    Our membership is similiar to that of a gym. You can come as much or as little as you would like. If you would like our opinion, we recommend at least twice per week to build your skill and learn at the same pace as the other students. (Private classes are also offered to fit your busy schedule.)
  • How long does it take to get a black belt?
    Short answer: A few years. However, it's important to remember that a black belt is simply a white belt that never quit. Black belt does not equal complete mastery.
